Radiator replacement and room-by-room upgrades
A radiator should be chosen for the room’s heating requirement and the system’s operating temperature, not just the wall space available. Tell us about cold rooms, planned extensions and any move towards lower-temperature heating.
Replacing valves, moving a radiator or adding another can involve draining down, pipework alterations and balancing afterwards. We’ll agree access and the finish you want before work starts.
Cold spots, uneven heating and controls
Air, deposits, valve faults and circulation problems can all affect radiator performance. The pattern of cold areas is useful information, though it isn’t enough to diagnose a fault without checking the system.
Controls should match your household’s routine. We can advise on programmable thermostats, room control and zoning, with compatibility checked against your boiler and pipework.
New heating systems and system cleaning
For a full heating installation, boiler output, radiator sizes, pipework and controls need to work together. Existing systems may need cleaning or improvements before new equipment goes in.
Cleaning and filters can help protect components where appropriate, but they aren’t a cure for every circulation problem. Recommendations follow an assessment of your system.
