Natural gas and LPG are not interchangeable
Appliances and installation arrangements must match the gas supply and the work required. Tell us whether your property uses mains gas or LPG, along with the appliance make and model.
For rural homes, access and the existing LPG arrangement are useful details. A natural-gas appliance can’t be connected to LPG without checking its approved suitability.
Pipework, appliance connections and alterations
New appliances, kitchen changes and boiler replacements can all require pipework alterations. Appliance demand, the route, connections and testing are considered before the work is agreed.
Gas work must be carried out by an engineer registered and competent for the relevant work. Never attempt gas connections yourself.
If safety is the immediate concern
A smell of gas or a suspected carbon monoxide issue is not a routine booking. Leave the affected area and contact the gas emergency service or your LPG supplier from a safe location.
For ordinary installation or maintenance work, share your postcode, gas type and appliance details and we’ll take it from there.
