Before you buy or book a connection
Check the appliance’s required clearances, ventilation and supply type. A gas hob, a freestanding cooker and a dual-fuel cooker can each have different installation requirements.
Send us the model and a photo of the existing connection through WhatsApp. An existing hose or bayonet connection shouldn’t be assumed suitable for a new appliance.
Connection and suitability checks
The installation has to match the manufacturer’s instructions and the available gas supply. Pipework, isolation, stability and safe operation are all part of the agreed work.
For dual-fuel appliances, the electrical requirements are a separate matter. A gas connection visit shouldn’t be assumed to include electrical alterations.
LPG appliances and kitchen changes
If your property runs on LPG, tell us before arranging work. The appliance must be approved for the gas type, and any conversion requirements need checking.
For a new kitchen or a relocated cooker, let us know the intended position and which other trades are involved, so access and the connection work can be agreed before booking.
