Boiler Servicing

Boiler Servicing in Uttoxeter & Surrounding Areas

Most manufacturers require an annual service to keep your warranty valid. A service checks combustion, safety devices, seals and the flue, so small problems are caught before they become breakdowns.

Serving Uttoxeter and nearby towns in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Coverage and appointments are confirmed using your postcode.

An online request is not a confirmed appointment — availability and scope are agreed first.

  1. 01

    Your boiler, identified

The report records the exact appliance, model and flue arrangement so the service follows the manufacturer's maintenance instructions.

  2. 02

    Strip-down maintenance checks

The magnetic filter, expansion vessel, condensate trap, burner, electrodes and heat exchanger are inspected, cleaned and checked — the parts a routine service actually covers.

  3. 03

    Gas safety checks

Gas tightness, flue performance, ventilation and safety devices are verified before the boiler is returned to service.

  4. 04

    Combustion analysis & pressure tests

A flue gas analyser measures combustion, and standing and working gas pressures are recorded against the manufacturer's figures.

  5. 05

    Findings explained plainly

The condition of the boiler and any recommendations are recorded and discussed — a service is not assumed to fix an existing breakdown.

  6. 06

    Signed service record

You receive the completed service/condition report, signed by the engineer, for your records and any warranty requirements.

Tested with real instruments, recorded on the report.

A flue gas analyser measures combustion at the boiler's test point, and gas pressures are checked against the manufacturer's figures. Readings are recorded on the day on your report — the illustration above is a stylised rendering, not a photograph, and shows no live readings.

  • Gas pressure tests recorded
  • Combustion analysis measured
  • Burner & heat exchanger inspected
  • Filter, vessel & condensate checked

Illustrative example only — no manufacturer endorsement is implied, and no reading shown is a real measurement.

A service is maintenance, not a repair

A service follows the appliance manufacturer’s instructions and checks the condition and safe operation of your boiler. The work varies between models and can include cleaning or replacing service components where required.

If the boiler already has a fault, mention it when you book. A boiler that’s stopped working needs diagnosis; a routine service on its own shouldn’t be expected to cure a breakdown.

Preparing for your service visit

Have the make and model, previous service record and warranty details to hand if you have them, and keep access to the boiler, controls and any relevant meter or cylinder clear.

Tell us about unusual noises, repeated pressure loss, changes in hot water or fault messages. These details help us tell routine servicing apart from a repair visit.

Keeping your service history

Keep the service record with your appliance documents, and check the manufacturer’s warranty terms for the required service interval and evidence.

A homeowner service and a landlord gas safety record are different things. Rental property owners can arrange both, with the work agreed before the visit.

What to tell us

The boiler make and model, last service date, warranty details and any existing symptoms. Send your details and postcode and we’ll arrange the right visit.

Common questions

Can a service fix a boiler that has stopped working?

An existing fault needs diagnosis and may need a separate repair. Describe any symptoms when you get in touch so the right visit is arranged.

What should I have ready for the visit?

The make and model, any warranty documents and the previous service record are useful. Keep access to the appliance clear and mention any changes in pressure, hot water or noise.

How often should my boiler be serviced?

Once every 12 months is recommended by most manufacturers and is usually required to keep the warranty valid.
